This week, we communicate with Mathieu Chabran, co-founder of Tikehau Capital. The agency is a worldwide different asset supervisor with $40B in AUM manged in 13 workplaces all over the world. He cofounded Tikehau in 2004 with Antoine Flamarion, a colleague at Deutsche Financial institution. Chabran was named Chevalier de l’Ordre de la Légion d’Honneur by decree of the President of the French Republic in January 2022.
He explains how the agency determined to increase from Paris into London and Singapore and eventually into the US, opening workplaces in New York.
Chabran describes how the fund has used its strengths to innovate their approach into the States. They have been one of many first corporations to do secondary non-public credit score buying and selling, and so they pioneered using ESG ratchets – higher charges of curiosity as debtors obtain agreed upon sustainability metrics.
