Chris Rock’s Netflix particular, Selective Outrage, has moved different comedians to share their ideas on the fiasco. 

Marlon Wayans is the most recent comic to weigh in. The veteran funnyman sat with The Hollywood Reporter to debate his HBO Max particular, God Loves Me, which addressed the Oscars slap. Nonetheless,  Wayans is not going to contact on Jada Pinket-Smith’s alopecia.

I had 5 minutes of ideas, and I like to talk fact onstage and see the place it goes. So I did that and by the top of the week, I had quarter-hour. I saved exploring the reality and it grew to become like a Rubik’s dice to me. I bought one aspect. That’s the Chris Rock aspect. I bought what’s my expertise with Jada, after which what’s my expertise with Will. What’s my expertise within the business? What’s my expertise as a Black individual? What do white individuals really feel? Earlier than I knew it, I had an hour of fabric. I used to be really doing a set about my mother, and coping with the grief of dropping my mom. I used to be like, ‘Sorry, Ma, I’m gonna put you to the aspect for a second. (Laughs) I have to discover this.’ I did [live comedy festival] Netflix Is a Joke in April, and I had all this materials — an hour and a half — and the set all blended, nevertheless it was bifurcated.
