SAP’s AI product staff

The whole AI unit that beforehand reported to Xu will now report back to Solar, an SAP consultant mentioned. Solar’s staff will embody two VPs of AI know-how, Sebastian Wieczorek and Ulf Brackmann; a CTO, Johannes Hoffart, and a worldwide AI product supervisor, Nadine Hoffmann.

Solar will report on to Philipp Herzig, SAP’s head of cross-product engineering and expertise, who stories to SAP’s govt board member for product engineering, Thomas Saueressig.

SAP couldn’t say whether or not Solar could have a seat on the corporate’s AI Ethics Steering Committee as his predecessor, Xu, did. For now, the one consultant of the AI staff on the committee is Wieczorek, the VP of AI know-how. The opposite eight committee members maintain senior posts with duty for advertising and marketing, knowledge safety, authorities affairs, authorized, range, buyer knowledge, high quality, and sustainability.

As for Xu, after leaving SAP, she co-founded Nyonic, a Berlin-based startup that goals to construct industry-focused, multilingual AI fashions that meet European moral and authorized requirements. Xu is Nyonic’s chief innovation officer, and her co-founders embody serial AI entrepreneur Han Dong as CEO in Shanghai, NLP knowledgeable Johannes Otterbach as CTO, computational linguist Hans Uszkoreit as chief science officer, and Vanessa Cann, a board member of the German AI Affiliation, as CEO for Europe. The corporate is hiring engineers in Berlin and Shanghai.
