I’m so bored of listening to Tories speaking about unlawful immigration by refugees, whether or not within the Home of Lords or on Query Time, that I went to search out the definition of a refugee by the UN Excessive Fee on Refugees. That is it. The emphasis is mine:

We’re signed as much as this.

It makes clear that those that assume they’re refugees could, fairly explicitly, break migration regulation.

They have to be welcomed.

They have to be supplied with care.

They only even be issued with a passport if they’ve none of their very own or one they don’t want to use.

There isn’t a proper to refuse entry, or to pressure them to depart.

They might not be detained.

It’s shaming that ministers and the media frequently ignore these obligations.

Why do they do this? As a result of they’ll by no means think about themselves as refugees. It’s conceited exceptionalism that lets them deal with the refugee as ‘the opposite’.

Effectively, that and the empathy bypasses that every one who be part of the Tories should compulsorily have. And it’s completely shameful, and makes worldwide criminals of all of them, in my view.
