Jemele Hill proudly picked “a struggle” with Barstool Sports activities Founder Dave Portnoy after he boldly referred to as LSU participant Angel Reese a “classless piece of sh*t.”

Reese has been the subject of dialogue after taunting Iowa Hawkeyes star Caitlin Clark on the finish of Sunday’s NCAA girls’s basketball nationwide championship recreation. Reese’s actions have acquired combined reactions on social media from some who suppose she confirmed unsportsmanlike conduct and others who suppose she’s being harshly judged in comparison with Clark, who made the identical gesture at Iowa’s Elite Eight win over Louisville.

However Portnoy was amongst these turned off by Reese’s “you possibly can’t see me” hand gesture and referred to the Black basketball participant as a “classless piece of sh*t.”

Depart it as much as Hill to reignite her age-old feud with Portnoy in response to his criticism. As soon as the sports activities journalist caught wind of Portnoy’s feedback, she fired again in true Jemele Hill style.

Shaquille O’Neal joined Hill in calling out Portnoy’s cold-hearted criticism of the school basketball participant.

Stephen A. Smith has defended Reese by explaining why he believes she was judged extra harshly than Clark due to her race.

In the meantime, Reese stays unapologetic about her hand gesture regardless of the continuing backlash.

“I’m too hood, I’m too ghetto. Y’all instructed me that every one 12 months,” she mentioned throughout a current press convention.

“However when different individuals do it, y’all don’t say nothing. So that is for the ladies that appear to be me.”

On Monday, LSU Tigers head coach Kim Mulkey defended Reese on the Immediately present, saying that Reese refuses to apologize and noting trash-talk is a part of her recreation as a participant.

“[Reese] was upset as a result of they [the public] assault her and so they didn’t assault Caitlin and issues like that,” Mulkey mentioned.
